See below an article from Christopher Mellon, a former Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence. It is intriguing for some of the language it uses: “imminent possibilities”. Is it part of an IO campaign? Is it tied to the rumors apparently swirling around the Pentagon that the recent classified report to Congress has stuff in there that is highly significant and unexplainable. Publicly, the Pentagon is saying “nothing to see here” and no evidence of aliens. But there is a lot of chatter on UFO forums saying otherwise allegedly coming from insiders.
The mandate to look at historical cases back to the 1940s is something I have been hoping to see. In order to understand the full range of the phenomenon, you need to go back at least to 1947. I am very surprised the USG has decided to do this. There has to be a reason.
I have no idea what’s going on, but it ain’t normal.
That all said, I don’t believe that the search of the records will lead to any major revelations. I just don’t think the government can admit that it has been hiding something of this magnitude from the American public and our vaunted military can’t protect our airspace. We will have to parse the government’s words very closely to see if they are trying to hide something because right now, I’m not convinced the USG knows anything, If there is a secret, it is buried very deep and long since forgotten.
